Two week exotic holiday August

    Hi guys

    Myself and the OH are hoping to go for a two week holiday from the 4th of August to somewhere exotic but reasonable.

    Do the good people of boards have any suggestions?

    exotic and reasonable !! .... not really a good combo.

    if budget was not a concern I would suggest all the B's .... Bali, Bora Bora or Brazil.

    (the northern hemisphere seems to go through bad weather in August/Sept - hurricane season near east coast of USA and carribean Islands, similarly with mexico .....thailand (most of Asia) has its wet/rainy season....Oz/Nz its the start of their Winter... so you might get early or even mid 20's ...not guaranteed rainless.)

    Lanzarotte is hardly exotic anymore (but usually decent weather), South Africa is an option..a safari ... but this can be expensive also.

    Southern Italy/Sicily may be good at that time of year.

    We went to Costa Del Sol last year (august) and weather was brill - had originally planned Thailand but floods in Bangkok changed our minds, the year previous we did a big one ...Toronto, San Fran, Hawaii, Maui, Vegas and New York ....all very good weather....We've done Thailand this year (April) and planning another home holiday for August ...we're also getting married next August (2013) so we're looking mainly at Bora Bora/Bali .... with a stop off maybe in Vegas/San Fran (or both) .
