Website showing all grocery deals?

    Hello

Is there a website out there that shows the various grocery deals on fruit & veg and meat etc each of our supermarkets stocks this week?

I know Aldi and Lidl do a newsletter, but even these do not seem to show all of there offers, and it seems every week all of the supermarkets have different deals on fruit and veg.

Save going around each supermarket before doing my complete grocery shop, something I will not do, is there anywhere that keeps a database of this stuff online?

I heard about a premium website that is supposed to do it, although I'm not sure if it is still going.

I'm afraid you won't see this in Ireland, the supermarkets won't agree to release data like they have in the uk.

Of course doing so would ensure people could shop around and get a better deal but that might affect their bottom line so why would they want that?

You can see the Tesco prices and current deals on their online shopping website
    http://www.tesco.ie/groceries/

You need to register on the site to get a login.

If they are usually the cheapest and have nothing to hide it is in their interest to show up the others. I find the tesco site brilliant, since you can sort by department and only look at offers, it tells you what date they end too, so you know when to stock up if you plan to. Nearly all the stuff I buy in tesco is on offer, and I find them to be the cheapest because of this. If you are a brand lover other supermarkets might be cheaper.

If a shop is not making prices openly comparable I just presume its because they are too high and they want to hide it, so I avoid them. I never found particularly good bargains in dunnes.

You can check superquinn online but it is not as good.

There was some independent sites attempting to compare them a while ago.

    http://www.smartshopper.ie/

But it seems to be offline at present - not sure whether its temporary or permanent.

They had a subscription service (very small fee) and gave details of all the offers in all the supermarkets every week.

One which was working in the link I gave was cheapeats.ie

it just gives direct links to the various supermarkets current offers.

The tesco link is bad compared to logging in, it really is worthwhile signing up to them.
