Radio only on Chan 52

I have a four year old Tevion TV that I used with a Saorview box. I just found that it has an internal tuner that will receive Freeview TV from Preseli but Radio only on Chan 52, unlike a TV in my living room which recieves the full range of Freeview channels (excluding chan 45) plus Saorview. My question is: As it is tuneable to chan 52 should it also receive Saorview?. Both TVs connected to the same aerial via a powered amplifier/splitter, swapping outlets does not change the situation.

This tv must only have an MPEG2 decoder so won't display Saorview picture, as it uses MPEG4 encoding.

You should consider a DVB-T2 tuner to get Saorview together with more channels from Preseli. The Sagemcom RTI90-320 was the one working in Arklow , search the forum for reviews of saagem/sagemcom

Plug it in, tune, and away you go.

The best solution for you would be a Freeview HD box. This will get every channel possible. It seems as your TV is not compatable with Saorview.
