Minimum Wage after tax and average income?

    I'm wondering
    1) What is the minimum wage after tax?
    2) What's the average number of hours for a part time job?
    3) What would be my take home pay in a full time job with minimum wage?

I'm trying to sort my life out and move out and up- I have no illusions, I know it'll be difficult and I'll be poor, and if anyone could answer my questions I'd be very grateful.

On minimum wage, even a single person with no children or other tax credits pays very little tax.

    Around E350.

But the problem is, what does "full time" mean - sometimes it's 30 hours, sometimes 40, sometimes 42. Sometimes it means you get different hours each week, and the number vary according to how busy the place is, and how you're getting on with the manager. So your income can vary a lot.

I should have also asked, if I got a part time job, how much take home income would I have?
I know part time job hours differ as well, but is there an average of what could be expected?

It'll be a good start if you have a look on the revenue website, and figure out how this is all calculated.
It'll be a great help in understanding your first payslip when it arrives and to know if you're being paid correctly.
