    Have a vague recollection of this movie about a fella who used to make a living from selling horse manure. was an Irish film. think the main character was named Waxy or something like that.

    Sounds like it might be "Cluckser Fortune has a cousin in the Bronx" which was made in Dublin in the early 70's and starred Gene Wilder as the main character.I haven't seen the full film but it was mentioned in the Sunday times rundown of Irish films recently and I remember seeing the trailer for it years ago on an old VHS video.

    The article says you've probably never seen it, but I watched it with my uncle when I was a kid. The Blizzard of Odd did a review of it a few years ago too.
