holidays and diet/exercise

I've been working hard since March to lose weight, eating lots of protein, healthy fats and veg and very little starchy carbs, tracking my food, no alcohol and lots of exercise and although I'm not at my goal just yet, I'm very happy with my progress (25lbs lost). I'm going on holidays soon and I'm a bit conflicted about whether to forget about healthy eating/drinking and just enjoy my holiday or whether to think about damage limitation. I'm going to do some exercise anyway but I know diet is the main factor in weight loss/gain. I've lost weight before and gradually put it back on so I know I'm not the greatest at making good food choices when I'm not 100% focused. Any advice? I'd be interested to know how other people approach holidays from a diet point of view?

Why would you "forget about healthy eating/drinking completely" after all the hard work you put in. What a waste that would be!

Relax and enjoy yourself but just be a bit conscious of what you eat/drink.

There is no doubt you can go out every night and eat nice meals and get drunk without totally undoing all your good work.

If you're having cocktails stick to ones not laced with sugar and cream, stick to diet fizzy drinks with mixers. No need to have chips every night etc.

    General common sense really.
