It's been a while since I ordered anything from Amazon. In the past I have ordered anything and everything from here and always found postage from the UK to be reasonable.
However, now it seems that anything other than books,CDs,DVDs costs £24.95!!!! Shipping for CDs, books, DVDs remains reasonable but even if I was ordering something other than these items to the value of £5, I get charged the £24.95 postage charge to ship to Ireland?!

This, to me, appears to make the site really inaccessible to buyers in this country. When did this happen or am I misreading the postage costs?

I just had a quick look at the delivery charges page on their website and the charges still looks the same to me. Are you buying off a third party seller?

It's free postage on anything over £25. I bought an Xbox 360 and was posted here for free. I buy from them all the time. Very good postage. Not all items on Amazon are sold by themselves some are third party sellers. Check the details on what you are buying.

you must be buying off a third party not amazon itself. Amazon offer free shipping on most items when the order total is over £25stg.

And you can get around having to spend over £25 to get the free postage by ordering something else as well that isn't due to be released for a while but gets your spend over £25. Then when the item you want is dispatched, cancel the 2nd item.

I regularly use Amazon and have never come across those kinds of delivery charges.

Amazon without doubt is the best online retailer imo, I have serious man love for them.

As above but if your order is under 25 pounds the shipping is really high. Club together and buy with friends.

Brilliant, the amount of unnecessary stuff I've bought to get over £25 is shocking. This will save me loads.

Just after trying this and added a video game due for release in November to the order and it says estimated dispatch is not until November? Is this normal?
