Preventing Cable Ware

    Hey Guys,
    I'm wondering if there is any type of protective cloth or rubber coating that I can put on to the cable of my headphones which will protect them from ware.
    If it exists, the type of product I'm imagining is a layor of material that can be slipped up the length of the cable of my headphones.

    I hope what I'm asking makes some kind of sense, any information will be welcome.
