Apologies if this is in wrong forum, Mods please move if needed.

Having bother with Server Not Found issue. Basicially I have a wireless network in the house. 2 laptops connected to it. When I look up a certain website (nothing dodgy btw, common enough site) I get "Server Not Found" .... but when I look up the same site on the other laptop it works fine.

I flushed dns and ran virus checkers but same happening.

    Ant ideas?

Did you run an nslookup www.mysite.com on both the pc that is working and the one that isn't ?

ok, odd one now ... Server Not Found message coming up on both laptops ... but I can access the site from my phone which is also connected to the same wireless.

    nslookup gave
    DNS request timed out.
    timeout was 2 seconds.

Make sure the wireless on the laptop is turned on, some laptops have a wifi on/off switch on the side, others have a function key combination to enable/disable wifi. Tell us the model number of the problematic machine and we can go from there :P

Is a paticular site your are looking up or any site.
Has the website you are looking up got server issues and your able to look at the site because it is cached on your other devices.
That is why it will appear abd then dissappear shortly from all devices.

Try changing you DNS server to googles ones:

    8.8.8.8
    8.8.4.4

Or OpenDNS is an option too.

These are generally better then your ISP's one's anyway :)

Your ISP may have been blocking that site then or their DNS servers were out of date. Google DNS is much faster I find.
