Abandoned Dog

    Hey folks
Hope someone can help. There is a dog near us that has clearly been abandoned. Beautiful thing - well at least he looks like he was originally. He seems to have been just dumped out from the house and left to wander the road. Not sure which house though.

We have rung all the charities, shelters etc and no one can help (or wants to) - they keep passing us on to somebody else because we can't identify the house that own him.

    Any suggestions??

Contact the dog-warden for your area.

You could check with a vet to see if it is chipped.

Post a photo and description of the dog please.

You should contact the dog warden. Rescues cannot help until they know the dog is unclaimed. The pound will give the owners 5 days to claim it and then a rescue (or an individual) can take possession of the dog.

Would you be prepared to go from house to house and enquire about the dog?. Can you put up laminated pictures of the dog all around the area with your mobile number - don't know if you would be prepared to do this. Is the dog being fed?. Trouble is if you call the dog warden he will be put in the Pound and pts. You sound like a very caring person. There would be a great deal involved - would you be an angel :)
