I was venting a radiator and the little screw snapped off. Can this be rethreaded and a new one fitted (radiator is not old). Is there a tool available in the local suppliers for this , thanks

It depends on where the vent is. If it's part of a 1/2 inch plug made into the end of the rad then it's easy to replace. If it's integrated into the back of the rad panel then you would be better off getting a self tapping screw into the front of the panel or a long the top edge.

You could try getting a hold of an extracting tool from a motor factors but don't know if you would get a tool to re thread to suite the threads of a new vent.

Post a pic, the type of vent would decide if it's easy to replace.
