    Hi Guys,

Just a quick question, my brother drives a 07 Peugeot 307 1.6 HDI and recently he has had some problems with it cutting out!
When driving along it just cuts out and then takes a few minutes of turning it over to get it to restart! He brought it to a mechanic after the first time it happend, they had a look but said they couldn't find anything wrong!
    It happened again twice today!

Any ideas as to what could be causing it??

Did the mechanic plug it into a fault code reader? If not then I would suggest getting that done to point you in the right direction of where the problem may be. Any garage with diagnostic equipment will be able to read the fault codes.

Had the same problem myself everyone I brought it too said no fault could be found. Even brought it up to logic automotive in rathcoole industrial estate they kept it for 3 days I got it back no faults.. Friend of mine told me it could be crank shaft sensor so I got it changed.. It fixed the problem. No computer could read the fault, car was on about 10 computers cost me a fortune too be told no problems.. When really it had a fault.. Crank shaft was telling the car that petrol tank was empty.. That's why it kept cutting out. it cost me €115 to replace it new. U should get it checked out.. Car going perfect no problems since and that was last September...
