Anyone else enjoy Maniatis' volley attempt from the deflected free? Missed completely then got poleaxed.

He's getting himself about, in fairness. Greece are terrible, but a player down as a defender playing in midefield and getting into the box is always nice to see. Especially for 4m.

Indeed, altho kinda awkward situation if he doesnt do anything else. Do you stick with him as capt or risk passing it to someone else. Of course plenty of time left for him to get another or an assist and nullify that quandry

This is going to be key to doing well, IMO. With the "lesser" players always playing first in Group A, we're often going to have to choose between whether we wan't to stick with the 1 goal or assist from your early captain, or stick it on your Ozil's, RVP's, and Ronaldo's.

Going to cause plenty of headaches, that's for sure.

I think if he got another goal or assist i would definately stick with him. Other than that i'll probably chance someone else. Is there bonus points btw? Can't remember seeing anything when i glanced through the rules.

After this half I'm wishing I invested more in Polish players. This ref is the biggest homer I've seen in a while. Greeks are rightly frustrated.

No, there's no limit. You can change it 3 times if you like.

Just to be clear......

Let's say I have someone as captain this evening and he scores 5 points (captain - 10 points). I then decide to switch my captain to someone different tomorrow and he only scores 4 points (captain - 8 points).

Can I switch my captain back to the first guy? I can't switch the captain to a player who has already played can I? For example if I have someone on my team who has already played and scored a bag of points I assume I can't retrospectively make him captain?

That's some goal from Pav. Wish I had the balls to stick him in my team, but there was too much uncertainty around who played that main attacker for Russia. I fancied him from the start, so hope I don't regret not taking the chance in the long run.
