What are you dosing cows for? Would they not have built up immunity to worms at this stage?

Get a dung sample from say 5 cows and get ur vet to sample it for parasites. Better to know what your dealing with before you waste your money treating blindly.

Blackleg wise fire away. Its ok to use with antibiotics but check theres no antiinflammetry in there aswell as this will lower the potency of the vaccine. Drugs like resflor and hexasol etc have flunixin in them aswell. This is an antiinflametry. Nuflor/ alamycin dont.

Gave most of mine a white dose today, most of the older ones got their second blackleg shot so they got the second tag today as well. Nice day for it, aubracs are shaping up nicely.

I did all the odd numbered calves for copper about 6 weeks ago and it was definitely worth doing them. The rest will be getting one at the next dose in 3 weeks.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

What was your justification for giving them copper? Were they not coating or licking things or what?

Did you treat them that way (every second one) to be able to compare and see if it made a difference?

Why not do them all in the one go?

Excellent idea with the one tag and booster + second tag.
How would the box ticker react if you had an inspection I wonder?
We would generally leave them until several months old to vac for Blackleg.

Ya coating is a huge difference, no scales here yet, so did every second one to compare them. Have a photo on the mobile, so will try uploading later in the week.

High Molybdenum is locking up copper.

Thanks on the 2 tag thing, so far we've been ok on it with them prix.
