M3 Motorway Electronic Tag

    Herself is down in Navan and I’m growing tired of the speed limit on the old road , bad/slow drivers and the sneaky speed camera

    Is it worth my while looking into an electronic tag? I can only find the discount you receive on the M50 for having a tag.

    There is not a lot of queuing at the M3 Dunshaughlin plaza anyway.

    Hi JeffK,

    Our tag costs €1.23 per month (including VAT). For a car that is tag-registered, the M50 toll costs €2 each way (unregistered it costs €3). I know you are referring to the M3, but if you use the M50 also, and a minimum of three times per month, this would work out as the best-value option for you for the M50 as well.

    Our tags can be used on all tolls in the Republic of Ireland.

    Thanks Una, I have the video account with yous already, so I think I’ll ring and get it changed to a tag on Monday.


    Even if I don’t use the M50, the cost a month will be worth the almost not stopping journey alone , even if I only use it on the M3.
