That sounds like a brilliant trip. Would love to go if I had a few spare euros lying around. :(

Yeah, The location, South east China is out of this world. I'd love to go. I spoke the guy organizing it, nice fella. He can't accept more than 8 on the trip and a minimum of 4 to make it worthwhile.

Thanks for posting this here Dave.
Original trip is nearly full but I decided to stay longer and do 2-4 more trips when I am there if anyone is interested... Great discounts for groups and photography clubs.
Also if you are planning to go to Southeast China on your own and have questions, I would be happy to help. Do not hesitate to contact me.

Looks like a great trip, the fishermen now depend on tourists for revenue. The fishing has changed since they put in dams, the governemet add fish to the rivers, but everytime dam is opened the fish are lost.

You can give someone 1 or 2 RMB (Yuan) for taking a picture, there are around 7.8 RMB to the euro.

Learn a few words of Manadarin/Cantonese if you can, it will help. English is rarely spoken outside of Shanghai and Bejing.

    Hi,
Thanks for your input. China is changing constantly, damn dams ruined the fishing, still some real fishing on river Lee...
I pay 100-300 Yuan (12-50 Euro) for my models depending on the time they dedicate, fair trade :-) Over all, it makes little difference in the price per person.
Yeah speaking mandarin is essential in this area, literally no one speaks English in rural areas.
