Water fiteration system back wash

I have a water filteration system that back washes once a day, this basically means it flushes itself out. My problem is that the water flows down my garden and gathers outside my back door. Any suggestions on how to combat this, I'm thinking a soakpit but don't have a clue where to start, how big or how deep I'll need to dig.

Any help or ideas would be great.

Could you just feed it into one of the drains from a roof chute.
