Hey just a quick query. Was on a FAS Internship and got kept on a full-time basis. However I only recieve the PAYE tax credit. I then applied again to try and get the Single Person Credit also and that was 2 weeks ago (2 paid weeks). My question is can anyone tell me how long this usually takes, also I am paying it seems…

Hey just a quick query.

Was on a FAS Internship and got kept on a full-time basis.
However I only recieve the PAYE tax credit. I then applied again to try and get the Single Person Credit also and that was 2 weeks ago (2 paid weeks). My question is can anyone tell me how long this usually takes, also I am paying it seems emergency Universal Social Charge of 7% of my wages. Will this be sorted also by fact I applied for Single Person tax credit.

And would I be entitled to apply for a refund on the excess tax and USC I've been paying or will that be sorted too automatically?
