    Hi All,

I will be in Barcelona for the first time next week when Ireland play Spain. I am wondering where are the best places to watch the match. I have heard that any of the irish/english sportsbars are way overpriced so are there any decent local palces to go that are central enough.

    thanks

Didn't think they were overpriced compared to any other bars.

Here's a few of the ones I thought were reasonable if you want.

There's a few on Carrer de Ferran just off Las Ramblas almost half way up near Liceu metro.

Another one, Cheers, just off the bottom of Las Ramblas on Carrer de Santa Mònica - near Drassanes metro.

Across Las Ramblas from Cheers and up a bit on Plaça de Joaquim Xirau/Plaça del Teatre is Flaherty's.

Can't remember the exact prices but something around €4 a pint.

Overpriced? You should try Dublin sometime.

Stick to the topic. Nothing helpful to add, don't post.

Ok, there is a place called Flahertys near La Ramblas which was good to watch a game before anyway.

There's a little shopping centre down in the port area - near where all the fancy motor yachts are moored, there's a sports bar upstairs. Don't remember that it was particularly expensive.
