stop motion

I want to start working on a stop motion animation with shoes as the subject..Should i use windows movie maker or can anyone recommend a good user friendly program.. Thanks! Sorry if this is in the wrong place too.

I've heard good things about Lightworks. Never used it myself, but it's freeware and has been used to make movies. Should be a lot better than Windows Movie Maker
