All through my 20s and 30s and ........my dark hair was unfashionable it was blonde, blonde, blonde (hell even Barbie was a blondie). Now for the first time I am finding that models, advertisements, etc are all going dark. At last a validation....though a little late for me. Don't suppose it's all down to the Duchess of Cambridge but she helps.

I always thought it was fashionable! Love dark hair...although natural blonde is nice also. I'm not a fan of the dyed blonde look it can be quite brassy looking.

In fairness, if it's a decent dye job, you wouldn't be able to tell it's not natural.

It's like fake tan - if it's done well, you won't even notice. If it's done badly, it's awful.

I always thought dark brown was fashionable. As someone with naturally ginger hair, I actually do get grief about my hair, I find it very odd that you think there is anything unfashionable or undesirable about a chestnut brown. I think a lot of people dont appreciate their natural hair enough, you'd probably be surprised how many people admire your hair!!!!
also I do like my natural hair, for the record

I love dark hair, much prefer it to blonde.

I have contemplated dying my hair brown a few times but it would look silly on me as my hair is naturally blonde. Would have to darken my eyebrows and my roots would show very fast, couldn't be arsed. Love red hair too...might actually dye my hair red one of these days...sick of the blonde!

I think it's always just been a personal preference as opposed to dark or light hair being 'fashionable' as such.
I have naturally dark blonde hair and I get highlights in it, but I've been so tempted to go chocolate brown on many occasions- I'd be worried though that if it didn't suit me I couldn't go back blonde.
Healthy looking hair and an air of confidence make more of a difference than the specific colour in my opinion.

Meah, my hair is naturally dark brown, I might get lighter highlights through it the odd time, but I'd never change the base colour. It would just look stupid anyways, with my colouring!

It is what it is, I don't really care how "fashionable" or otherwise it is!
