    guys,

I have been using skype recently to call Ireland (land line) from my htc one x in the uk.

call quality is shoite, it is like this for everyone? the person i am calling can hear me fine but on my end its awful, constantly breaking up.

    thoughts?

Usually a network issue not the phone. For example mine is crap over WiFi at home, I end up using 3g and its fine.

i'm on 3., my 3g signal is fine....

i had juice defender running, thought it was getting in the way and got rid, but its still terrible.

is there anything else to prevent good calls?

Their connection maybe. It's usually packet loss or network congestion.
Nothing you can do about the packet loss but make sure both ends minimize network use during the calls.

i have checked wcdma only on my connection/network settings, might have been a issue.
