I set up an LOI Rumours Thread a few years ago and I got most of them right in my opening post :)

This year, so far, I've been hearing
    Anto Flood to Pat's
    Paddy Madden to Pat's
    Dean Kelly will leave Pat's
Michael Barker from Bohs to Dundalk

Sligo have also knocked down the Railway end terrace of the ground and are replacing it with a stand.
    6 blocks of 234 apparently

Paddy Madden is still in contract.

Can see Dean Kelly surfacing at Shels if he leaves Pats.

We're signing/signed two LSL players, a keeper and a right back.

Niall Cooney RB at Crumlin to Pats.

Dont think we need anyone up front tbh.

Madden would be a fantastic signing for Pats.

Here's hoping it doesn't happen. :pac:

What position is Michael Barker and is he any good?

He's a left back. Quite young as far as I know but looked impressive enough the few times I've seen him.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Was one of two LOI players called up for the u19 Euro Championships, recent thread about him on the Bohs forum - http://www.thebohs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17988&sid=24d464495b48a79db988b3353a76d18d

I actually think he's a right back but has just played left back due to our shortage of players in that position.

Great player and a great prospect any time I've seen him.

Young lad and if he does leave I presume it would be to just play first team football

harps have already been moving, micky funston is back form dungannon switfs and mark scoltock has also signed who i think had been training with us for a bit. Barry o'Mahoney gone to athlone so no sligo men left with us.

and for rumours; supposed to be in a local paper that we ordered 1million worth of steel in may for Finn Park II so we may see something above foundations level at last... though didnt read it myself

Ciaran Martyn and Emmet Friars to Derry is another one I've heard

I doubt he's on any money at us and I doubt he'd be on any money at Dundalk. It's just a rumour but presumably based on first team football

Hopefully he's fit. Great re-acquisition if he is. He picked up a lot of yellows - 18? - last season and gets frustrated easily if things aren't going for him. If he's not fit, he might lunge in a bit and talkback a bit too much to give the likes of Hancock and Buttimer any excuse..

    Sully back, YES YES YES!!!!

So that's the problem RB position sorted. Now for LB, how about it Enda!!!

He's under contract and we've a very small squad don't see him being let go.

He's playing every week anyway so don't see why he'd want to go.

Bolger topping the yellow cards league with 4 at the moment, i would bet Sullivan catches up and over takes him within......say 5 games? 4 is the one match ban limit this season.

Heard he's been keeping in shape but obviously will need match fitness. The red mist is a worry (especially with that other head the ball on the right wing) but Sully is still a very welcome addition to the squad. Don't think the squad strengthening over yet either which is good.

Probably, but he was also the best RB in the league last season. We've missed him hugely this year.

barry o'mahoney has gone to athlone, ciaran greene is off to the states and si tracey is also gone. felix also off the books with mcgowan now actually the assistant and running the u19s. o'donnell, curtis and carlin are out for the season with cruciates and it doesnt look like chrissy breen will be to play at all this year.
so could really say 4 off the books including felix. none of which ya will want

The Mrs just asked me if there are any Irish refs at the Euros

She was AT the Cup Final with me.

Judging from the ref's performance in the Poland v Greece game, they'd fit right in.

You not hear? The club is in complete chaos, we're broke, players fighting with one another over who gets paid the most.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,468 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

I think just about every one of our starters has been linked with a move away. The locals over here love making up rumours.

@ stovelid ↓↓↓ - We sold our Europa tickets before the draw last year too. Doesn't mean anything.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,252 ✭✭✭✭stovelid

Rumours that players not paid and they might be selling Europa tickets in advance of the draw.

    Maybe just silly season.

Players playing well get linked with moves?

One of them tweeted to a pats player asking when training was on again, afaik bucko wants 3 players almost all of them play for Bray and one from Dundalk :p

Even when we nearly went out of business 4 years ago our players we're always paid on time and in full, so that is definitely a load of crap.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,761 ✭✭✭AgileMyth

This has been the silliest silly season on record. Thankfully I've been off the internet for a while now because our forum is full of retards.

We'll bring in a couple of players in July using the money Greene was to be payed and the difference between Baraclough and Cook's wages. Anyone that leaves will have to be bought.

The Europa league tickets are on sale tomorrow, they were sold before the draw last year as well so hardly a surprise.

Couple of players on trial for Rovers today against Westport. Ryan Connolly who was released by Derby is the only one I know.

Stand is progressing. More pics from Michael Melly here.

just want peoples opinions on what team i should watch? its about an hours drive to both wexford and waterford but which team plays the better football has decent parking etc?
