Hey just wondering if anyone has any ideas about the best mode of transport to get to Girona in spain from Romania. I'm planning on doin a cycle on the eurovelo and need to make it back for a wedding in Girona at the start of August, with bikes and luggage- i'm just wondering if anyone has any experience of the most cost effective way to do this? Plane's are modestly enough priced but with luggage and bikes it could add up- if anyone has recommendations on buses or trains would love to hear? Would also potentially be up for renting a car but not sure if i'll be able to drop a rented car in spain?
    Thanks!

You can rent a car and drop it off in spain, you will have to pay a fee though, most of the car hire websites will be able to give you an instant quote.

Train would take a couple of days id say. I took a train from bern in switzerland to barcelona and it took about 14 hours i think??

Bahn.de is you best bet for planning a european rail trip

There is a huge Romanian community in Spain and they're not the richest people in the country. As a result, there is an amazing bus network connecting virtually every part of the two countries. Obviously, bus is a last resort, but it's a fairly certain backup. Have a look at http://www.eurolines.es/
