    Hi,

My advice would be to call around to local pubs, hotels, coffee shops, supermarkets, garages, fast food joints with a stack of CVs....but ask to speak to the manager. Rather than just dropping the CV, you might have some luck with a manager if you hand deliver the CV and explain that you're looking for work and even better if you have experience.

Although, you wouldn't need to go suited and booted, it would help a lot if you're well turned out.

Start networking as well, ask friends, family, neighbours about vacancies and see if anything turns up that way.

Best of luck with the job hunt.

Find out if any of your relatives/friends have any contacts that are currently hiring. Its all about who you know not what you know nowadays. My friend who only got a pass marketing degree now has a great job (thanks to his dad) where as many others still work part time like myself and we have 2.1s

If you have no contacts then just go to all shopping centres, local shops, fas etc

If all that fails, become selfemployed. Make some cards and knock on doors in your neighbourhood. Offer to mow lawns, wash cars, windows etc. There is plenty of money to be made if you're organised. If you know any older people who are finding it hard to stay on top of their garden, you could build a nice round in the summer months and word will spread, leading to more work. In my experience, it's the older people who have the most disposable income for the moment.

Yes, dress smart, ask for the manager and be confident and shake their hand
    They'll remember you

And realy if you hand in your CV to customer service maybe the jobs will be arranged for their friends, nobody will ever see your CV

Hotels are a good try, very high turnover
Porter, glass collector, kitchen porter, all tough work but at least you're earning

My local Tesco are looking for night pack staff.
Work would be fine, they tell you what to do and off you go, stress free. You could even listen to your ipod during the shift
    Try your local manager

Dundrum website are currently advertising lots of jobs. I work in M an S and I know some people are leaving to go abroad for the summer

Not all places will advertise jobs due to the number of applicants. So try everywhere. Even if you don't see them advertising a position
