i am working towards an iaaac diploma i am going into my second year
we were going through the requirements and we were informed that there was 400 hours placement ? this i was also told was on a 1-4 hours on supervision that works out at 100 hours supervision . is this right ?

iacp is 100 hours placement with 20 hours supervision for the same level

I can't remember off the top of my head, you are better off just ringing the office. They are usual very helpful there.

It's possible you are confusing the diploma you are doing and being accredited with the IAAAC.

The IAAAC is an accrediting body, I'm not sure what an IAAAC diploma means. To become a full member of the IAAAC you will need, among other things, to do 500 hours post training of counselling work which is supervised.

Does the diploma course that you are doing really require you to do 400 hours of counselling work during the course? That seems unlikely. Where are you studying?

IACP requires 100 hours and 20 of supervision on their course for students to become per-accredited members and then requires 450 hours of post-training counselling to become a full member.
