    Hello fellow golfers.

I have a poor swing plane resulting in me mostly shanking, slicing and occasionally pulling my shots.

My upper body is always ahead with my arms and hands behind but well ahead of the club face when striking the ball.

Been to pros who got me to stand further from the ball, close the club face, tried swinging inside to out but to no avail.

I've spent a fortune on pros and nearly feel like quitting the game for good!

Is there a remedy or aid out there that will help.

I came across this on the internet but don't know if it works?

I live in south Dublin and would appreciate any help from a pro that can put me out of my misery!

$55 for a piece of string and a strap ha ha no thanks.

Put your money into getting a lesson or two and use a proper trainer like the explanar. Once you practice what you get shown it wont take long to find your way on your swing plain.

    I know the feeling

I've worked with three coaches over the years through the coaching provided by my club, and I think I took maybe one or two tiny bits from each.

But none of them gave me the confidence that I, nor they could

    A) Go through the process of changing my swing
    B) Ensure better results

I think the problem was mostly because it was a line setup, with 8-10 other players in the same lesson, and most of them were messers not interested in golf or getting better, just there cause mammy and daddy needed a babysitter while they went to work.

I'm humming and haughing that during the summer I'll take a lesson pack from my local pro, €150 bucks for 6 half hour lessons, but I'm always nervous that it will be a waste and I'll slide back into my old routine, that while comfortable, isnt getting the most from my game.

(Or my power, that GPS has brought to light just how much distance I lose from my fade and steep impact)
