Spoken word song about soldiers.

    Years ago on the school bus I remember the driver played this cassette on the bus player.It was a guy with an American Texan/cowboy accent reciting a piece about some "soldier boys" who were caught playing cards in church by their sargent and admonished.The bus driver changed over to the radio before it was finished but I think it had some kind of religous slant to it.Anyone else ever hear it or know what it is?
