I thought you would be advocating a more CD ROM based way of proving our identity.

I can just imagine cafes with free wifi thumb-printing their customers.

It wouldn't be in much use in people's homes, as you can easily replicate somebody else's finger print to fool the majority of scanners.

    No longer CT.

BTW Neelie Kroes has been attending Bilderberg since 2006 and is there now.

"Neelie Kroes, the EU's Digital Agenda Commissioner, will present by the beginning of June a new legislative proposal which aims “to facilitate cross-border electronic transactions” through the adoption of harmonised e-signatures, e-identities and electronic authentication services (eIAS) across EU member states, according to an internal document seen by EurActiv".

I remember years ago going to the States, when going through immigration, I had sown a kittens paw onto my finger and used that for the scan going through. Worked magnificently.

In hindsight though, please do not maim cats for your own selfish purposes. Limpy is still with me to this day and I apologise every evening to her.

Im all for our society based on a circuit board, if you really think about it, its what we are striving for. Great thing is no one seems to notice hence the circuit board society will come to pass barring natural disasters.

Would need to be a new type of webcam, current versions are already exposed to malware and hacking.

Maybe but if it could be done that would kill two birds with one stone. It may also allow for a verification process as the face as a hole could be examined

It probably could be done but I think it would be something different then a webcam for security reasons.
