    Hi,

Anyone any recommendations for where I could get a plastic water tank made or get a ready made one of the following approx.size:

    800mm X 800mm X 2400mm approx.

I'd like something that looks pleasing to the eye colour wise

I want to use it to make my own water harvesting system.Tank will be placed on foot path at down pipe. A slightly smaller tank would do, but I'd like to have the most capacity that I can.

    Any help appreciated

You dont get plastic water tanks made unless you have a serious amount of money. But if you really want to go down this route Killarney plastics will help you.

You could use three IBC containers - I saw some on Donedeal just yesterday.
Three 800mm ones would fit the bill exactly. When linking them together, install taps, so you could take one-at-a-time out of the system if you needed a thorough cleaning. (About €40 each)
As regards appearance: they have wire cages on them which are just right for climbing roses or to tie on some trellis. I recommend Zepherine Drouhan, a rose with a pink flower and a devine scent.

you could try a brand new plastic oil tank, they come in all shapes and sizes,800 litres up to massive tanks that hold several thousand litres! green in colour so will blend in with your shrubbery.

Sturdy products make water tanks, they are approved for potable water. The light blue colour might not appeal to you though.

I have no affiliation with them, but I have bought products from them

That looks like a sound tank. There could be a problem with IBC tanks in the long term as they may not be UV stable and could in time become brittle. Also they are not fully opaque and sunlight could cause algal growth. But they are cheap and can be easily replaced.
I suspect that in Ireland, if they are covered, screened or painted this would not be a problem but...
Here's a link to a discussion of the problem from New South Wales: http://www.masa.asn.au/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=216634&start=0
