Does anyone known where i can get someone to make cast iron legs for a couche in the Dublin- north leinster region , all the places i have found are either in the west of ireland or the northern Ireland. One of my neighbours makes gates , I have asked him over a month ago to make them but he keeps on making excuses as to why he has not even started to make them. Any help would be very much appreciated

Not absolutely sure but I don't think someone who makes gates would be doing cast iron. Is it cast iron or wrought iron you are looking for. You would need moulds for cast iron.

If your neighbour makes gates then these will be welded from mild steel and not cast. You would need to contact an iron foundry to see if they could make something similar. To my knowledge the Bailieboro Foundry in Cavan make articles in cast iron. Kavanagh's in Birr, the other well-known foundry only do drain and manhole covers.
