    Hi,

Can anyone let me know where I could buy a spare wheel (cheap) for 07 Grand Scenic? They do not come with a spare and we are going to France and afraid we will get puncture etc while there.

    Thanks

    Melissa

Are you sure, I'd be amazed if it didn't come with a spare. Maybe you just don't have one. You would be surprised how many people don't check for the spare when buying a car especially used.

I imagine your local motor factor may be able to help or god forbid your nearest Renault main dealer :)

Have 05 & 11 Renaults (not grand senic) with full size spares in both as standard. Maybe you have run flat tyres / a tyre inflation kit

No honestly we bought it new (b4 recession!) and it was a down side to this 7 seater car, but all others were like driving buses! so I risked it, and only needed AA once for a puncture since, but don't drive a whole lot. But France will be a lot of driving so better to be safe than sorry! was hoping to avoid Renault as they are sooo expensive :( but thanks anayway :)

The one outside has a spare wheel. It dangles under the back secured by a tether rather than being in the boot, so it gets slammed by a lot of road crap and the like but I assure you, a Grand Scenic has a spare wheel

there is no spare wheel with Grand Scenic Dynamique with two sunroofs, the Renault forum site for UK has lots of people saying this. There is no room for one in this model with the 6th and 7th seat.

I bought new from a Dealer and I know the guy and he told me this, they give u a gunk spray think to use in case of puncture. Maybe yours is a different model.

waiting on price from Renault Dealer now :(

It's Grand Scenic Dynamique though without the sunroofs. And it does have one. There's no room in the boot so it's secured to the bottom of the car by a tether instead.

Maybe yours was omitted for some reason. But they should come with one.

Have a look under the car before you purchase just in case :D

A spacesaver tyre may be cheaper, if you have to buy one, fit it before you travel just to make sure it does

If there's really no proper place for a spare wheel then don't even consider carrying one loose on the boot. I'd bring a couple of cans of tyreweld and a good rescue service and hope for the best.

The car comes with a small pump that a can of tyre weld type stuff (also supplied) screws in to to reinflate and seal the tyre.

It's under a cover between and infront of the 2 seats in the boot.

there is a kit available to fit a spare to the underside of the car, but they didn't come with a spare wheel as standard

If you are buying one, check with scrap yards. Probably lots of scenics in there, grab the spare off one of them.

They didnt come with them as standard and are very rare.

One particular model doesn't, but if the other scenics do (assuming same wheel size/PCD) can get from that i meant!
