Out of curiousity and in relation to another thread. realistically what are you hoping to get paid?

OP - you do realise €188 per week for a 40 hour week is €188/40 = €4.70 per hour. That's low - very low, especially if you prove you can fix equipment.

Are you expecting to be fed while working as well - that costs circa €10 per day so you should add that to your wage ie you should view food received as money received.

Don't forget about transport costs, it's not the farmers worry but you will have to pay them and on low wages it can add up to a significant percentage of your income.

On the flip side, if this job can provide with you experience and knowledge for when you apply for jobs in the next few years it would be worth working for the summer at a low wage if you think the farmer will give you a glowing reference - maybe (s)he will let you write it yourself and (s)he sign it
