Strange Male Blackbird behavior

For the last 3 days a male blackbird has been sounding an alarm call nearly all day. I went down the back of the garden expecting to see a Magpie or a cat close to a nest but nothing. I dont even think he is part of a breeding pair and I thought then It could be a recently fledged chick, but No again. It is a mature male…

It is a mature male that just sits on top of a silver birch sounding the alarm call all day. My window is close enough to the tree for me to watch the area but I have yet to see any cause that would alarm it . Any Ideas ?
