New laptop - now or wait for Win 8?

I was thinking of buying a new laptop - spend say about €400. I understand Win 8 is being launched in Oct this year. Are current laptops with Win 7 likely to get cheaper as that date approaches? Will Win 8 laptops be much dearer anyway?

Their will be a small fee upgrade option to Windows 8 with Windows 7 Machines in a week or so.

All I can find on it at the min as it was only announced yesterday, along with the Windows 8 Preview, so give it a week to see how it filters through to our side of the Atlantic.
