MMS messaging

    Have Samsung galaxy i9000

    Sometimes when i send a text message it converts it to mms and then it won't send - keeps saying "sending" - since last night !!

    How can i extend the amount of characters for a text msg or stop it converting to mms ?

    Are you using the stock messaging app ?
    if so go to your messaging app then settings, scroll to the end there should be a setting to SMS to MMS make sure it's unticked.
    YMMV tho as I'm on CM9.

    Stock messaging app? just using the normal messaging facility that came with the phone, is that what you mean ?

    It doesn't convert all my messages just some longer ones.

    I also can't receive or send pic messages
