I was there in 2000, long time ago I know, and it is still my favourite track from the ones I've been to. It is also one of the easiest tracks for access, there is a metro stop on the island which left you right beside the entrance to the track. When I was there I went to the track at about 6am and spent the whole day there, there was a lot on for the fans like displays and you could wander into the 360 challenge area and get a good look at the cars. The only thing you need to do is make sure you are staying close to a metro stop really, there was so much going on around the city that weekend too that you probably won't get much sleep either. Oh, remember the sun cream too, a cap is handy for protecting the head too. I can't really think of much else, it has been a long time. Montreal is a great city too, you'll have a great time.

I went in 1997. The only GP i have ever been to. Was a great day. Definitely take suncream with you. I still wear my 1997 Canadian Grand Prix tee shirt in bed :o

I was there in 2006 and it was very very hot. I bought a general admission ticket for the Sunday and arrived at the track at about 7am using the metro. There was already a queue waiting to get in at this stage. I spent the race on a small bank at the hairpin. They broadcast race commentary on an FM station at the track which was handy. The commentary was a mix of French and English.

The Montreal track is famous for it's marbles on the track so make sure to get out on the track after the race to get some as souvenirs. The wall of champions is another good place to see before or after the race.
