DotNetNuke: importing your own websites

Okay, this is an awkwardly specific question so I'm no sure if I'll get a response...

Using the API.Net content manager DotNetNuke and I can see and edit their sample pages, but I have absolutely no idea how to use DotNetNuke with pages that I have previously created. There is an import button, but it seems to not recognise html files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated: don't feel like writing pages from scratch again just to use them with a content manager!
