Glasses got badly scratched - Can Specsavers help?

    Was at the beach the other day with my boyfriend's very little brother - collecting seashells and stones and whatnot. Silly me put my glasses into my bag with no case and both lenses have a small but very vision-obscuring scratch. A friend said they think Specsavers will buff lenses to get rid of this. Any idea if they do, and how much it costs?
    I'm due an eye test and can get new lenses on the medical card if needs be, but in the meantime I need to do something!

    Scratches can't be buffed out of lenses, once they are there they will be there forever I'm afraid. You will have to get replacement lenses! :(

    IF they are quite big frames they could be re-sized into a smaller frame - this MAY mean shaving away the part that MAY have the scratch. This scenario is very unlikely IMO.

    New lenses it is. If they are are fairly new they may give you a goodwill discount.

    Lenses are just over two years old, so not new - guess I might as well get the eye test and new lenses! Thanks guys :)
