    Hi guys...
Just wanted to know can you take an existing sky plus box, with all its recordings etc, and connect it to another dish/ sky connection. Basically just swapping boxes around whilst not losing all previous recordings and series links??
    Any feedback greatly appreciated..
    Cheers

****..should've pointed out that I'm moving from my place to another house with an existing sky service, and if I bring my box and connect incoming cable to it will all recordings still be on??

yes you can move your box but if you cancel your sub you will not be able to access recordings or Sky +

Make sure the new place has two cables from the dish, and that the dish is actually working 100%

Sky generally offer a free moving service if you have been with them a while. They generally will put up a new dish for free, but lock you into a years contract.

By the way if you have a phone line connected, then let them know you have moved as they may wonder why the box starts phoning them from a different number.

The place I'm going to has a full sky service and two cables running..so if I just switch with my box with the exixting one , will I then still be able to view my recordings?
Tanx for the replies btw ;)
