I am in the process of running test data on search engines at the moment.

Apart from online telephone directories, where can i source a list UK names and addresses that I can use for test purposes?

feel free to move mods if im in the wrong place

Pretty sure you'd have to cough up for it.

Don't know if this is any use to you since it's not real addresses (and you don't state if you need real or dummy data) but http://www.generatedata.com generates test data. Only 200 rows can be generated altough a $20 dollar donation allows for 5000 rows to be generated.

it would be real UK data (names and addresses) but on the proviso its not coming from the phone directories. its a specific request I know, but there idea is test out some resources I have

Ah right, that seems like pretty sensitive information to be gaining access to so I wouldn't be surprised if you find it difficult to acquire.

You might have some luck with https://www.census.ac.uk/censusprogramme/Default.aspx (especially SARs) if you could gain access although it seems to be oriented towards academic institutions.

absolutely, I was a bit iffy asking to be honest. Don't want to seem dodgy :p

Currently, I have just been running names and addresses of people I know (even my own), want to know how our search engines run under stress, but ive hit a brick wall with UK data. Very arduous process taking them one by one from google. I wouldnt even know where to start but i'll take a look at the above, cheers for that
