I am 7 days from starting my junior cert and i have not studied AT ALL! Thinks are only starting to hit me now that people in my class are saying how they studied for 5 hours lastnight, while i never even did the homework due for class. I am no " badass" just a lazy ****e. I do generally good and achieve B,C and D grades with little to no study in summer exams, in the mocks i got 2 As 2Bs 3 Cs 2 Ds and 2 fails.
I failed irish but have moved down to pass level, and i failed honors maths by 1% so decided to stay where i was ( i am taking maths grings 2 hours a week for the past month or 2). I wanna know if the jc is the same as any other summer exam or the same as the mocks. I know its too late to start studying so i just need to know should i be even bothering or, with my past record of doing decent with no study, just go as i am.

Just study like mad for the next week. The JC might not matter now but you might as well learn it cause you'll need some of it for the Leaving. Maybe. Yeah, it might be a bit late to start but give it a shot. And the exams are normally harder than summer and the mocks because the teachers have no idea whats coming up so they cant focus on stuff. (Or you could just wing it.)

First things first, relax. :) I know it's easy to stress but it is doing you absolutely no good.

If you're serious about doing well, you could improve substantially in the next week. It won't be easy, but you'll just have to make a dent somewhere, and hopefully it'll stand to you. Also, if you've been doing your homework and listening in class for the past three years, you will do well!

Relax. While you are reading this take 3 deep breaths.
First off, 5 hours? Seriously? They are either lying, or if they did do "5 hours" they spent 4.5 hours scribbling on a page or flicking through a book telling themselves "this is study, this is study" when they won't remember anything.

I am opposed to studying for long periods of time. I think 2 hours in the morning, two hours in the evening breakdown like this:

50 mins - study the subject
10 mins - go back over what you have learned

And do this for two subjects in the morning and two in the evening. This is way more productive then a 5 hour cramming section, flicking through chapter after chapter of the history book.
