TV signal problems

I have 2 tv's and the one in the living room sometimes has problems picking up a few channels and sometimes it won't pick up a channel at all. I recently switched the tv's around when the living room tv was playing up and the other tv got all channels perfectly. So I switched them back again and the problem returned.

I tried scanning for new software - there wasn't any available.
I tried re-scanning all channels as a first time installation - didn't help.

Why is this happening? Any ideas guys?

Are we talking terrestrial channels here, delivered via an aerial, or what? Analogue or digital? What about the make & model of the tvs concerned?

Yeah digital freeview channels via an aerial.
TV's are Panasonic and Hitachi. The Hitachi is the one that plays up.

If you are in the south-east, the weather has been causing issues the last few days. I've been getting occasional breakup on the BBC and RTÉ muxes, but also getting signals I shouldn't normally get. I find some boxes and TVs handle this better than others.
