Maternity benefit section want me to send them an estimated statement of earnings from the start of this year until I start my maternity leave. What exactly do I need to send? Im a low earner and dont need an accountant so dont have one.

Can we take it that you are self employed?

I am, I gave them a ring and have already sent what they are looking for, so they have told me to ignore the letter, thanks for your reply :-)

    Hi LisaPol,

I've received a similar request letter. Can you recall what you provided them in the end?

I had the same, just sent a letter from myself stating what I had earned and what I expected to earn before taking my leave. I just said I declared it to be true and correct and that was enough for them. Hth

I had to do this too.
I had a fixed monthly income so sent them my estimate for the rest of the year @ this amount.
If it is not 100% correct it does not matter but it has to be a good attempt at an estimate.

Hey guys, we got that letter too and if we're to give an estimated statement of earnings (net) that means expenses deducted before taxed, I'm sure we would arrive at a negative or 0. Do we then write that our estimated earnings is 0?
