Zaino Reviews ?

Spent last Saturday cleaning the car.

Washed, clayed and applied Zaino.
2 x coats of Z5 Pro
1 Coat of Z2
Z6 Gloss Enhancer between each coat and finally afterwards.

Problem is: i don't notice too much of a difference afterwards. Frankly, i was expecting to be blown away but doesn't seem to have had a major impact.

Perhaps it's because of the colour of the car (Volvo Metalic Gold) ?

Anyone else used it? What where your results?

You may have omitted the most important part, using ZAIO or ZFX.

Yep. Used the ZFX accelerator (3-4 drops). Followed the instructions to the letter.

Perhaps i'm blessed with a naturally great shine. May try it on the wifes car later in the week.

OK so you used ZFX with both the Z2 and Z5. Did you polish the paint after claying and before applying the Z5 sealant?

You shouldn't be using Z-5 & Z-2 - they are for different applications afaik - Z-5 for darker colours and Z-2 for lighter. I have 3 layers of Z-2 on my metallic grey 5 series and it looks amazing.

As per previous comments I'd say you're missing a polishing/cleaning stage so your prep might be at fault. I clayed, polished with Z-PC, cleaned with Klasse AIO, Z-6 wipedown and then 3 layers of Z-2 with a layer of Z-6 inbetween each and finished with Z-8. It's a lot of work but it lasts a long time with only a quick wash bringing the car back to bling

While both sealants suit some colours more than others, it's fairly standard procedure to apply coats of Z5 to disguise lighter defects first and then apply Z2 afterwards. Particularly if you haven't polished away light swirl marks beforehand. These sealants should only be applied to a clean surface, glossy paintwork.
