    Hi guys,

I have type 1 diabetes (insulin dependant)
I have good control and have never had an issue with it before. I am about to go abroad for the first time for 2 weeks in Europe and am trying to find out about getting travel insurance. I want to book it ASAP as we leave Friday 1st of June so I want to get it done online. I am trying to find out if I need to let the company know I have diabetes or not. Theres no option when booking it to say if you have a medical condition and nowhere in the terms or conditions does it say either. It only says basically if you have a pre existing medical condition and dont take care of yourself and go against doctors wishes etc... they wont cover you.
(also I have been left on the phone with them for over 10 mins and my credit keeps running out)
    Any advice greatly appreciated :)

I have the same problem as yours but in different illness (Stomach Ulcers), I get travel insurance but wont cover my existing illness, my doctor told me, insurance will know i have illness by info from my doctor, Tried everywhere to get insurance that included my existing illness, but nothing... Maybe someone here will know better...

try allclear travel insurance. they cover nearly every condition but you will be paying extra for the cover.

You are right about this insurance... Spot on, They provide insurance for pre-existing conditions... Thanks very much.

Got a quote for multiple trips for one year including existing illness, £99.64 .. Not bad.
