    Unscrew it from the shower and leave it in clear vinager over night. Then use a tooth brush to srub the holes out.

    I steep mine in citric acid over night and it's brand new. Citric acid can be got in the chemist over the counter.

    This approach is only advisable if you wash your clothes in the shower.
