Yeah, and I still have no fucking idea what this forum is for.

Me neither, but that doesn't stop it from being the first forum I drop into every time I log in!

Yeah I did, because a mod closed my thread on abortion or something like that, and I wanted to understand what I could and could not post.
It's all long gone from my memory though.

probably but don't remember much of it really. charter is just a guideline anyway, you're fooked if an op decides they don't like the smell of ye.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 186 ✭✭omgitsthelazor

Is this going to be one of those stealth checks where Mods ban everyone who voted No?

    Wrong.

When we ban someone and they ask us why, we just give them any old reason and ask Dr. B to add it to the charter.

    Fact.

No. I don't read any forum charters.
It's kind of obvious what is acceptable or what is not.
However, if I happen to be having a very bad day & post something I shouldn't then I'd hope whoever I am aiming my bad mood at wouldnt take it seriously or mods wouldn't frown on me too badly. Obviously rules apply, but if I was constantly getting infracted or banned then I'm no better than a school yard bully.
And if that was the case then I'd deserve a permanent ban. It's one thing to have an opinion, be it right or wrong, but it's quite another thing to force it on other people to the point of being a d!ck.

I read some of it before, there was a bit that said something along the lines of "AH is like being down your local" and I remember thinking "I'd fooking hate to drink in your local" cos of all the stuff you can't talk about on here!!!

That's ok then make sure to let us know when you are in a mood and we will make allowances for you.

Ah now you know what I mean.
The kind of mood when you post something you shouldn't even though you know it's borderline ban if not an outright ban & you're willing to take the chance to get your speak in.

Sure if it was that easy everyone would be saying "Jaysus I'm in foul humour" & abusing people left, right & centre.

I see where this is heading, AH mods(who are prob mostly blokes) should have understanding of womens sometimes erratic behaviour and not just ban straightaway? :)
