Cowboy Auto Valet Places

Took my car to a so-called Auto Valet a few days ago to get it washed.

I thought that as an Auto Valet he would have some inkling of how to properly wash a car.

Turns out he used a brush/broom type thing as you get at a jet wash.

Scratched the hell out of my paint - front wheel arch, drivers door, rear wheel arch and trunk.

I've just spent 7 hours on the sunniest day of the year trying to correct the mess.

How many of these cowboys are out there!

Point being: make sure you ask them how & what they will be doing to your vehicle.

Lesson learned I guess. I used a chemical car wash lad before on my old car and a similar thing happened to me. The monkey was washing and drying my car off with scruffy rags that clearly washed 199 cars before mine.

These lads in car Parks with chemical washes are a serious no go! Best thing to do is do it yourself.
