Panasonic TH-42PW5

Hi Guys,

I was recently given a Panasonic Th-42PW5. i just got the monitor and the box to go with it, but no cables.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what cables I do need? I really just want to hook my Xbox up to it, not needed for anything other than that really.

I found a spec sheet listing cables, but havent a clue what they are or where to get em.

Do you have the power cable (a standard kettle lead will do according to this https://support.panasonic.co.nz/docstore/TH37and42PW5AZ%20book.pdf )


What cable does your xbox have? How have you been connecting it to the tv before this?

Hi Quad,

I currently have the xbox hooked up to my HD tv in the sitting room at the moment. I just use a HD cable for that. I have the top set of cables that you have shown. Is there any way I can use them? I think I need a 9pin something or other I haven't a clue to be honest! Is there anywhere I can get one cheaply? All I really need is to hook up the xbox for the man shed

Well,

If you're using the top picture, that's component.

The screenspecs say it takes component in. Just put the green, red and blue cables into the green, red and blue ports at the back of the monitor (remove them from the back of the scart adaptor if that's what you're using .

It can also take the Xbox VGA cable (picture 3) which you'd have to buy separately.
